Things In Herds, have been making music since 1999 – and released theirdebut album, ‘I Can Dancing And Walking’, through American labelUndecided Records in 2002. Three years later they recorded their secondalbum ‘Everything Has To End Somewhere’, and released it as a limitedCD-R home-made run. The songs on the album were so strong that adecision was made to release it as a proper, full-fledged title. Therecordings have been re-mastered by our very own King Creosote, andfeatures new artwork from the enchanting Miss Ping. It’s quite simply abeautiful record.
“There’s no shortage of glumyoung minstrels who elicit Nick Drake comparisons. For his plummyEnglish sense of desolation, the chief Herdsman Pete Lush is closerthan most. In As You Leave he might have written the most affectingbreak-up song you’ll ever hear. Like many of this album’s best moments,it’s the sound of a stiff upper lip trying to get to the end of thesong without wobbling. Even if he manages it, you might not.” **** Pete Paphides, The Times
